Coronavirus: Nungesser addressing tourism industry in webinar

Regional economic groups are hosting a webinar on Louisiana’s tourism economy post-COVID-19 on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The webinar is part of a series by groups such as One Acadiana, the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Acadiana Planning Commission and Downtown Development Authority aimed at helping businesses during the coronavirus crisis.

The tourism webinar includes Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and Ben Berthelot, the head of the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission. The panel will discuss how businesses — such as restaurants and hotels — are handling the impacts of cancelled festivals and events and the biggest challenges the industry is facing.

Registration is available via Eventbrite here. Registration is limited to 300 participants, but a recording and the presentation materials will be available on the One Acadiana website.
