LAFAYETTE โ€“ The Leadership Institute of Acadiana (LIA), a non-profit that runs Leadership Lafayette and other leadership programs, announced today the appointment of Jan Swift as Interim Executive Director, effective immediately.

In this position, Swift willย oversee and manage processes, programs, and resources to support the mission of convening, building, and activating leaders to build and strengthen their communities.ย She will also continue the partnership between LIA and One Acadiana (1A) to leverage the resources of the two organizations.

Swift serves as Host and Producer of Discover Lafayette podcast. A graduate of LSU and LSU Law School, Swift serves of counsel with Swift & Rhoades, LLP. She recently served as Chair of the Protect the City Committee which was appointed by the Lafayette City Council. Swift previously served as Executive Director of Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation. She is Vice Chair of Lafayette Crime Stoppers and serves on the board of the South Louisiana Community College Foundation. A graduate of Leadership Lafayette class 2009 and Leadership Louisiana XXII, she is active with her church, Asbury United Methodist.
