What is a ribbon cutting?
A ribbon cutting is a ceremonial event which marks any major business milestone and symbolically celebrates a new beginning. Ribbon cuttings provide a special opportunity to celebrate your achievement with the local business community.
What is the company’s role in a ribbon cutting?
The company planning the ribbon cutting is responsible for outreach and promotion. Member companies are responsible for the planning and execution of the ribbon cutting event. Depending on the size of the ribbon cutting event this, for example, may entail securing a venue, distributing invitations, creating marketing materials, purchasing refreshments among others.
What is One Acadiana’s role in a ribbon cutting?
As a Chamber of Commerce, One Acadiana plays a supporting role in your event. Our team can provide recommendations on local vendors, florists, photographers, and caterers. We also promote your event in 1A’s monthly newsletter (Impact Insights), send direct invitations to members of the 1A Ambassador Program, and share online via 1A’s Community Calendar.
Most importantly, 1A provides the giant, golden scissors, and red ribbon.
When should I host my company’s ribbon cutting?
