Eligibility Requirements
One Acadiana is proud to launch four scholarships for returning students in the Acadiana region, in partnership with Louisiana State University Eunice, South Louisiana Community College, Unitech Training Academy, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Scholarship Recipients
While many high school graduates receive funding and assistance to enter their freshman year at a higher education institution, fewer scholarship opportunities exist for students continuing their education. To address this, the One Acadiana Scholarships will be awarded students from LSU Eunice, SLCC, Unitech, and UL Lafayette.
Eligible students must be full-time or part-time students with a 2.5 cumulative GPA (good academic standing), pursuing any major, and:
- LSU Eunice student must be a returning student who has been out of school for at least 2 years
- SLCC student must have a minimum of 1 semester complete
- Unitech Training Academy student must be currently enrolled
- UL Lafayette student must have a minimum of 60 credit hours
Scholarships are awarded for the semester following the completion of the 1A Scholarship initiative. Selection and award timelines will be determined at the discretion of participating universities and institutions.
Building Acadiana Together
As the region’s leading economic development organization and Lafayette’s Chamber of Commerce, One Acadiana’s work is focused on strengthening Acadiana’s workforce and building Acadiana’s businesses. This scholarship is aligned with 55 by 25, our region’s educational attainment initiative, which has the goal of increasing the proportion of working-age adults in Acadiana with postsecondary degrees, certificates, or other high-value credentials to 55 percent by 2025.
