About the Company
The company, founded by Damone Lewis, began its operations in September 2023 with a single van. StayPut Transportation LLC is compensated through transportation brokers, with Medicaid ultimately covering the cost of these services. The company has been steadily, but surely increasing its revenue month over.
Rapid Growth in 12 Months
As a result of our support and Damone’s dedication, StayPut Transportation was able to acquire a second van, doubling its capacity to serve patients. This expansion has allowed the company to increase its reach and impact within the community, ensuring that more patients have reliable access to their medical appointments.

The Small & Minority Business Support program assisted the business by doing the following:
- Guiding the owner through forming the Limited Liability Company
- Helping to obtain other important formation documents, such as corporate bylaws and EIN verification letter
- Assisting with the documentation necessary to obtain commercial insurance for the vehicles
- Providing the documentation needed to obtain the company’s contract with MediTranz, a local NEMT transportation broker
- Currently assisting the business with obtaining the DBE certification
